Chantilly Castle is located in Chantilly, about 40km north of Paris.
It is a very beautiful castle that became a sister castle to Himeji Castle in 1989.
Highlights of Chantilly Castle
The Chantilly Castle itself is beautiful, and the furnishings are gorgeous, and I never get tired of looking at them.
The museum has a collection of paintings by Raphael and other famous artists, so please enjoy them.
There is an audio guide available in Japanese, which will help you understand more.
There is a restaurant, La Capitainerie, in the basement, but it is best to make a reservation in advance because the seats are almost always booked.
The Château de Chantilly also has a large garden, although it is not as large as the Palace of Versailles.
If the weather is nice, you can take a walk in it. There is an English-style garden and a village-like garden called Anglo-chinese.
In the Anglo-Chinese garden, there is a restaurant, Le Hameau, where they have Chantilly Cream, the original whipped cream, which you should definitely try.
